Terms and conditions

This document outlines the Terms and Conditions of our scholarships. By submitting an application for our scholarship, you are agreeing to these terms and conditions.

You must read these Terms and Conditions in their entirety before you accept your scholarship offer. When you accept your scholarship you are agreeing to and accepting these Terms and Conditions and agree to the requirements and conditions of your scholarship.

Learners in receipt of scholarship are also required to sign an individual scholarship agreement. Learners must meet all conditions as outlined in the agreement.

  • No Purchase is necessary to participate in the scholarship program.

  • Odds of winning a scholarship are dependent upon the number of scholarship applications received and the quality of your entry.

  • The purchase of any product or registration for any course does not increase the odds of winning a scholarship

  1. Scholarships are limited in number, and subject to availability. Even if a learner meets scholarship criteria, a scholarship may not be awarded.

  2. Only new learners can apply for a scholarship. This excludes learners that have already taken a workshop with us or have taken part in the 10-12 week courses.

  3. A scholarship with Authentic Learning Berlin means that the current course fees are completely waved or that there is a 25% or 50% discount. The learner does not get any type of cash, bank deposit or any other financial benefit.

  4. Scholarship recipients agree to become ambassadors of Authentic Learning Berlin, undertaking activities agreed as reasonable and acceptable by the scholarship recipient. This includes matters such as attending events; answering inquiries of prospective students; and contributing short articles and use of scholarship recipient’s images for newsletters, social media and blogs. The learner must submit the texts and tasks by the given date. Failure to comply will result in the cancellation of the scholarship.

  5. If granted, the learner will receive a written scholarship offer and the tasks will be outlined. The learner will have 3 business days to accept or reject the offer.

  6.  The learner is required to take a placement test to show proof of the language level. If the level does not correspond with our current course offerings, the scholarship can't be awarded.

  7. The learner is required to be present in at least 90% of the language classes. If the learner needs to be absent longer, written permission needs to be granted. Failure to do so will result in the cancellation of the scholarship. If a learner is sick, a doctor's note is required.

  8. Scholarship recipients will be liable to pay any fee items which may be required for the course, such as books or materials.

  9. Continuation of the scholarship is subject to the learner successfully meeting the study requirements of course, including submitting homework, participating in activities and workshops, and adherence to program rules.

  10. Scholarships are not transferable.
